We are in the business of buying, selling, rebuilding, rewinding, and storing large industrial electric motors, as well as offering electrical plant maintenance and power systems services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of around 25-30 employees, including technicians and department leads.
- Shop Operations: Plan and coordinate labor requirements on the shop floor to efficiently support incoming inspections, teardown, repair jobs, and field service work.
- Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control processes, ensuring that customer requirements such as inspections and data collection are met to the highest standard.
- Customer Relationships: Assist in coordinating customer visits, providing technical and scheduling support as needed, and communicating effectively with customer engineers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Employee Development: Ensure that all staff are adequately trained and have a clear development plan to grow within the company.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist in implementing a continuous improvement culture through Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance processes and quality.
- Facility Management: Coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and its equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Electric Motor Repair: Ideally, experience with AC and DC electric motors, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Candidates with a strong background in machining and familiarity with electric motors are also encouraged to apply.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and coach a team of technically skilled employees, including junior technicians and seasoned professionals.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience in environments that focus on continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) is highly preferred.
- Customer Interaction: Coordinate with customers to provide technical support, assist sales, and address service inquiries as needed. The ability to think on your feet and make quality decisions is important.
- Industry Expertise: Experience working in or overseeing machine shop operations is a big plus.
