Wage Range: $26 – $30 per hour

Overview: The Maintenance Technician at our client’s facility plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of printing machinery and the facility. This position requires a proactive approach to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and maintain high productivity levels.
Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on printing presses, binding machines, and other production equipment to ensure peak efficiency. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery as necessary.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with printing and binding equipment. Use diagnostic tools to identify and implement solutions.

Repairs: Conduct repairs ranging from minor fixes to complex mechanical or electronic issues. Tasks may include part replacement, system calibration, or machinery overhaul.

Preventive Maintenance: Develop and carry out preventive maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Maintain detailed maintenance logs.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA standards. Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety procedures.

Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance parts and tools, ensuring parts are available for urgent repairs.

Training & Support: Occasionally provide basic maintenance training to staff to promote equipment care across the team.

Documentation: Document all maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and parts usage for reporting purposes.
Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years in industrial maintenance, with experience in the printing industry being very beneficial.

Technical Skills: Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of PLCs is helpful.

Certifications: Preferably certified in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Systems, or Hydraulics.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for complex issue resolution.

Communication: Effective verbal and written communication for reports and team interaction.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long periods, and work in a dynamic environment.
