Are you an experienced maintenance technician looking for an opportunity to step away from the physical work while continuing to leverage your technical expertise? If you have hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and want to take your career to the next level, this Technical Advisor position could be the perfect fit for you.

This role allows you to transition from the day-to-day physical demands of machinery repair into a technical leadership role, where you’ll provide expert advice and troubleshooting over the phone and through email. You’ll use your years of experience to help field service technicians, customers, and installers solve complex technical issues, all while working a Monday to Friday schedule, with no extensive travel required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Using your maintenance background to provide technical support and troubleshooting for a wide range of machinery.
  • Working closely with our Parts Department to resolve product or service inquiries, research materials, and ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
  • Handling warranty claims and collaborating with internal teams to improve processes.
  • Providing training and guidance to our Customer Support Representatives, Field Service Technicians, and Sales Teams, helping them resolve complex issues.

What You’ll Work On:
Our company specializes in Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs)—equipment used to safely move materials between floors in commercial and industrial buildings. Think of it as an elevator for heavy loads like materials or equipment. As a Technical Advisor, you’ll become an expert on these systems, using your existing skills to help others resolve issues and ensure they operate efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
  • The ability to work independently and apply your expertise in a problem-solving role.
